A typical rubber compound formulation:
Polymer (Rubber) - 100 phr
Filler - 30-60 phr
Antioxidant - 1-3 phr
Antiozonant - 1-3 phr
Oil - 5-30 phr
Curing agent - 5-10 phr
There are many other ingredients that can be used to give a compound of different properties. Custom rubber mixing is the science to ensure the required properties of the rubber by changing the ratio of components and compensating for their interactions. That's why most manufacturers consider their rubber compounds to be the property right. Improvement of mechanical properties, while retaining the possibility of good workability, can take hundreds of hours of testing variations of different compositions.
Rubber compounds are supplied in the form of plates of various sizes, from 0.5 to 30 mm thick, suitable for processing into products by molding and vulcanization. Depending on the purpose, rubber compounds of various brands are produced.

Rubber compounds are a mixture of the main polymer (s), fillers and other chemicals that form a finished rubber material. More precisely, the term "rubber compound" refers to a specific mixture of ingredients adapted to the specific characteristics necessary to optimize performance under specific conditions. The basis for the complex development of the formulation of the rubber compound is the choice of the type of polymer.

In addition to the elastomer, reinforcing agents such as carbon black, color pigments, curing agents, activators, plasticizers, accelerators, antioxidants or antiradiation additives are added to the rubber compound. There are hundreds of such combinations.
